So, it's officially... official! Harrison Ford is returning for one more adventure as Indiana Jones—and he couldn't be prouder.

Back in 2020, Disney announced in a tweet that the fifth installment of Indiana Jones was in the works, and that "Indy himself, Harrison Ford, will be back to continue his iconic character’s journey."

This news lit a fire of excitement in fans everywhere—especially on Twitter.

"No way!!!! So excited I thought he never wanted to do another one," one fan tweeted.

"Hearing the news on Harrison Ford back in action again as Indiana Jones is fantastic, he is like the last action hero," another fan said.

The actor told Parade in 2020 that he was excited to jump back into traditional Indiana Jones antics, which include all the "running, jumping, falling and rolling around on floors."

Ford sure knows how to tease his fans, but we aren't complaining!

Read on for all the details we know about Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, including updates about the premiere, cast news, spoilers, and more.

When will 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' premiere?

Though the initial release date was set for July 2022, it has since been pushed back and will premiere June 30, 2023.

Is there a trailer?

Yes! And it's giving us all the feels, nostalgia, and everything in between.

We can see Jones embarking on another one of his missions once more. The trailer is full of action and humor and teases a new arc in which Jones dives himself.

Before it was released to the public, the trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny premiered at Disney's D23 expo in September. After the trailer's debut, Ford reportedly got emotional while speaking with the audience in a surprise appearance at the D23 Expo.

In his speech, he teared up after thanking the crowd. "Thank you for making these films such an incredible experience for all of us. I'm very proud to say that this one is fantastic." Ford said, according to Variety.

What will 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' be about?

The details around Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny are still miniscule. But, Empire (who was at Disney's D23 expo) reported that the film is set in the year 1969. If that year sounds familiar, it's because it's when Russia and the United States were in their famous "Space Race."

Also—if you notice anything interesting about Harrison Ford's facial features from the trailer, it's for a reason. Empire spoke with James Mangold—one of the film's writers—where he mentioned digitally de-aging Ford for the film. “I wanted the chance to dive into this kind of full-on George-and-Steven old picture and give the audience an adrenaline blast,” Mangold said. “The audience doesn’t experience the change between the ’40s and ’60s as an intellectual conceit, but literally experiences the buccaneering spirit of those early days … and then the beginning of now.” Ford took one look at himself de-aged and called it “a little spooky.” “This is the first time I’ve seen it where I believe it,” he said.

Who will be in the 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' cast?

We told you that Ford will be reprising his lead role as Indiana Jones. Starring alongside him is Phoebe Waller-Bridge (best known as the creator, head writer, and star of the BBC sitcom Fleabag). The rest of the cast includes Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, and Thomas Kretschmann.
