Hamilton, Barkley earn B1G weekly honors

Penn State's 45-14 win against Indiana Saturday afternoon featured two standouts in particular for the Nittany Lions. Monday, they were honored by the Big Ten for their efforts.

Penn State's all-time career receptions record holder earned a spot on the big Ten Players of the Week list for his efforts.

DaeSean Hamilton, following a nine-reception performance for 122 yards and three touchdowns, earned his first career conference player of the week honor for the effort. With his nine receptions, he moved past Deon Butler for Penn State's all-time record, and now holds it at 181 receptions.

Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley also earned the attention of the conference on special teams for his game-breaking 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to give the Nittany Lions a 7-0 lead right out of the gates.

Barkley's most recent Player of the Week award came a week ago when he set Penn State's all-time all-purpose yardage record for a single game against Iowa.
