Hagerstown Police seek man in video in apparent targeted shooting that grazed victim

A Hagerstown man was wounded in what city police believe was a targeted shooting Monday, and investigators are looking for a suspect.

Donta Louis, 30, was treated at Meritus Medical Center east of Hagerstown for a superficial graze wound to the leg, then released, police said Tuesday in a news release.

Officers were dispatched to 7 E. Washington St. around 5:45 p.m. to investigate a report of a single gunshot, the release states.

"Louis was uncooperative with officers during the investigation and we believe this to be an isolated incident where Louis was specifically targeted," the release states.

The incident was captured on the city's network of surveillance cameras, and police were able to capture an image of the suspect, according to the release.
