H.S. basketball roundup: Kalen Chase, Mountain Valley boys outduel Dirigo

Feb. 26—DIXFIELD — Kalen Chase's 29 points paced Mountain Valley in a 70-60 boys basketball win over Dirigo on Thursday.

Airick Richards chipped in 16 points for Falcons, who led by four at halftime and extended the lead to 14 by the end of the third quarter.

Charlie Houghton scored a game-high 33 points and pulled down eight rebounds for the Cougars, while Dakota Tompkins contributed 12 points and seven rebounds. Dirigo made 23 of 24 shots from the free-throw line.

Parker Desjardins had 26 points and 14 rebounds to pace the Tigers to the win in Jackman.

Mason Desjardins added 23 points and six assists for Forest Hills (10-1), while Joey Poulin had 17 points and 14 rebounds. Jackman Daigle was also in double figures with 14 points.

Mt. Abram (6-1) was led by Hunter Warren with 20 points. Adam Luce and Trevor Phelps added 16 points apiece.

Chase Mailhot paced the Greyhounds with 13 points in a win over the Bucks in Lisbon.

Levi Tibbetts added 11 points for the Greyhounds.

Robert Loring had six points for Buckfield.

Brooke Martin and Mikenzie Davis led a balanced and fast-starting Patriots scoring attack in a 57-19 win over over the Raiders.

Martin and Davis each scored 13 points. Nine of Davis' points came on three 3-pointers. Sarah Fecteau added 10 points and nine rebounds for Gray-New Glocester, which led 16-3 after one quarter and build that lead to 33-8 by halftime.

Emily Walker led Fryeburg with nine points.

Jaclyn Crocker finished with 20 points and Glory Blethen added 15 to lead the Seahawks (4-4) past the Mustangs (1-4) in Boothbay Harbor.

Holly Hunt and Emma Johnson paced Monmouth with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Addison Stevens-Belanger dropped in 16 points as the Bucks defeated the Greyhounds in Buckfield.

Senior Shyloe Morgan added 15 points and six rebounds for Buckfield.

Emily Libby led Lisbon with 16 points.

Shawna Hancock led the Lakers (2-3) with 17 points in a win over the Knights (1-4) in Poland.

Shelby Sheldrick added 14 points.

Kalie Paradis scored eight points to lead Poland.
