Gymnastics: Cards' senior takes home all-around title

Feb. 11—SARTELL — Lyndi Koosman won the all-around title at the Central Lakes Conference championships as the Willmar gymnastics team finished in third place on Saturday.

Willmar, behind Koosman's all-around score of 36.550, totaled 136.550 points. St. Cloud won the conference meet with 142.450 and Alexandria was second at 136.775.

Koosman placed first in two of the four events. The senior took home the floor and bars titles, scoring 9.350 and 9.125. She was second on vault (9.375) and tied for fifth on beam (8.700).

Koosman, as well as Carlee Brown, earned All-CLC honors in the all-around and in every event for the Cardinals.

Brown finished in eighth place in the all-around with a 34.050. The sophomore scored 9.000 on vault, an 8.900 on floor, an 8.350 on bars and a 7.800 on beam.

Mallory Beier, another sophomore for Willmar, earned All-CLC honors in the all-around and on vault. She tied for ninth place in the all-around (33.900) and tied for fourth on vault with a 9.200.

The Cardinals next compete in the Section 6A championships at noon Saturday at Morris.
