‘We do need the guys with the most experience with us to be as consistent as possible’ Buzz Williams speaks ahead of Texas A&M vs. LSU

Texas A&M (10-7, 1- SEC) will be on the road to face the LSU Tigers (11-6, 3-1 SEC) at Maravich Assembly Center on Saturday at 3:00 PM CST.

The Aggies will have the opportunity to avenge their opening loss against LSU on the road in a game where they must get back on track. It’s a mystery to me why A&M, outside of Wade Taylor IV, can’t score at a consistent rate to save their lives. Even Taylor has been a tad bit streaky to start the season, but at least he can bounce back in the same game to give Texas A&M a chance.

Outside of Taylor, the only other Aggie that can be counted on is reserve forward Andersson Garcia and his rebounding. Head coach Buzz Williams has also been at a loss at times when it comes to the standard of play by his team.

“I thought we had great effort in the 40 minutes against

Auburn, I thought we had great effort in the 45 minutes against

Kentucky. I did not think we had great effort in the first 10-12 minutes at Arkansas so for round numbers I would say of the 160 minutes that we’ve played 110 of them have been representative of what we hope our program is to the institution and the department, but 50 minutes has not been that.”
