Guard outlast Knights 40-36 behind Langemeier's 24-point eruption

Jan. 26—BULLARD — Brook Hill churned out a key win over the visiting Knights from Dallas Covenant Thursday evening at Herrington Gymnasium. The final score was 40-36.

Brook Hill (18-8, 5-2) moved into sole possession of third place in the conference standings with the win while dropping Dallas Covenant (17-7, 5-3) into fourth place.

Beck Langemeier, a 6-foot-3 junior, led all players with 24 points for the Guard. Included in his evening's work was draining four treys.

Alvaro Moreno Vazquez tossed in six points and Lex Rich finished the evening with four points for the winning club.

Leading point maker for Dallas Lutheran was Josh Hook with 12.

Brook Hill led 25-22 at halftime and 35-28 to start the fourth quarter.

The Guard will travel to Dallas Shelton School for a 7:30 p.m. fray Friday.
