Greta Henderson's hat trick powers St. Cloud State over Bemidji State

Feb. 23—BEMIDJI — Greta Henderson couldn't be stopped on Friday night at the Sanford Center.

The St. Cloud State freshman forward scored three goals against the Bemidji State women's hockey team, powering the Huskies to a 5-1 win over the Beavers.

Henderson started off in the first period, converting at 11:45. Emma Gentry and Katie Kaufman added second-period tallies for SCSU (16-15-2, 11-14-2 WCHA).

The Beavers (4-27-2, 3-23-1 WCHA) responded with Shelby Breiland's goal 11:14 into the third period, cutting the deficit to 3-1. But Henderson single-handedly put the game away, scoring two more goals down the stretch to complete the hat trick.

Eva Filippova finished with 22 saves in net for BSU. SCSU's Jojo Chobak stopped 17.
