Grant Cherry earns first win with Healdsburg Prune Packers
Tennessee freshman pitcher Grant Cherry is playing in the California Collegiate League.
Cherry earned his first win with the Healdsburg Prune Packers on June 15.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Cherry pitched one inning against the Walnut Creek Crawdads. Healdsburg defeated Walnut Creek, 16-2.
Cherry totaled one strikeout against five batters in the contest against Walnut Creek. He has appeared in two games for Healdsburg, recording four strikeouts.
Cherry appeared in five contests for the Vols in 2022, recording five strikeouts.
Tennessee (57-9, 25-5 SEC) concluded its 2022 season on June 12.
