Grand National 2020 runners and riders: full longlist of horses and trainers for Aintree race
It is going to be even harder for Tiger Roll to win another Grand National and become the first horse to complete an unprecedented "three-peat" in racing's most grueling steeplechase.
The reigning champion was on February 11 handed a testing weight of 11 stone 10 pounds - more than he carried for victory in either 2018 or 2019.
Trained by Gordon Elliott, Tiger Roll is looking to become the first horse to win the Grand National in three straight years. Red Rum won three times, but three years separated his second and third triumphs.
Tiger Roll, who will be aged 10 by the time of the race in April, is certain to go off a short-priced favourite on April 4.
The longlist will be cut until the final field of 40 is confirmed a couple of days before the Aintree race.
