Graham Norton is set to host the first ever Irish original comedy series on Prime Video, with a line-up of guests including Aisling Bea, Amy Huberman and David McSavage.

The TV personality has helmed The Graham Norton Show on BBC since 2oo7, and will now front Prime Video's comedy offering LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland.

The format of the show will see 10 celebrity guests attempt to make each other laugh, while not being able to laugh themselves. The last competitor standing will win €50,000 for their charity of choice.

Bea, Huberman and McSavage will be joined by Deirdre O'Kane, Emma Doran, Jason Byrne, Catherine Bohart, Martin Angolo, Paul Tylak and Tony Cantwell in fighting for the top spot as they compete.

Prime Video has seen huge success with the LOL shows, which have versions in Italy, France, Australia, Spain, Canada and Germany, and has seen the likes of Pitch Perfect actor Rebel Wilson starring.

The series is set to launch on the streaming service in 2024, while it has also been announced that Trevor Noah will host a South African spin-off of the show.

It comes after we saw the five-time Bafta winner host this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool earlier this month, with the UK hosting the event for the first time since 1997. Norton previously said he feared he would lose his seat as Eurovision host and that he didn't want to pass up his commentator gig this year.

He said on The One Show: "I know that's really greedy of me, but I just thought if I let someone else do the commentating they could be better than me and then I've lost my favourite job. So I thought: 'No, I'm ring-fencing that'."

The star's eponymous chat show is currently off air for the summer, giving up its usual Friday night BBC One spot to The Chris and Rosie Ramsey Show. Norton's last episode for the year aired in February with guests Dame Helen Mirren, Pedro Pascal, Ariana DeBose and Freya Ridings.
