Grace Abercrombie has a big week at Northeastern Oklahoma State

Feb. 6—TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Former Jacksonville Fightin' Maiden basketball standout Grace Abercrombie had a noteworthy week as a member of the Northeastern State (Okla.) University (NCAA, Division II, Mid-Americai Intercollegiate Athletic Association) women's basketball team.

Abercrombie poured in 20 points and hauled in three rebounds in her club's victory over Emporia (Kansas) State Thursday and scored 15 points to go along with six caroms in Saturday's win over Washburn (Kansas) University. Both games were played on the RiverHawks' home court.

Abercrombie, who played in a limited umber of game for University of North Texas due to injury, played 21 minutes in the game against Emporia State and 26 minutes in the Washburn tilt.

For the season, Abercrombie has played in 17 games and is averaging 6.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

She has racked up 19 assists, 17 steals and four blocked shots.

Northeastern Oklahoma (11-10, 7-8) will host Rogers (Okla.) State at 2 p.m. Saturday.
