Point Guard

LaMelo Ball - Charlotte Hornets (vs. Los Angeles Clippers)

The Los Angeles Clippers allow the fifth least amount of assists in the league at 23.4 per game. This is because they have a solid defense allowing only 109.6 points per game so far this season. With that said, this stat also shows that teams are able to score without racking up assists. If you are allowing minimal assists, you can imply many of the baskets are scored through isolation or off the dribble. The Clippers are playing the Charlotte Hornets tonight. Coincidentally, the Hornets allow 28 assists per game which is the most in the league. If a team is allowing more assists per game it means they are forcing the first pass to be made from the point guard. What is this leading to? LaMelo Ball could have a slate-breaking performance tonight at potentially low roster percentages. The Los Angeles Clippers are banged up with Beverly sidelined and Ibaka currently questionable. The Clippers are still favored by - 9.5 points with a 232 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com. Personally, I believe the Charlotte Hornets win tonight‘s match-up against the Los Angeles Clippers. This might be a little ambitious but taking a look at the current matchups, I’m predicting a Charlotte Hornets win on the back of LaMelo Ball for this one!

Shooting Guard

Derrick White - San Antonio Spurs (vs. Milwaukee Bucks)

Dejounte Murray and Patty Mills will be out tonight for the San Antonio Spurs leaving Lonnie Walker to run the 1st unit against Jrue Holiday and the Milwaukee Bucks. Walker will be a popular play tonight. San Antonio’s young point guard has been playing well as of late and should assume a significant usage increase tonight with Murray and Mills on the bench. The perfect pivot here is Derrick White. Walker could very well struggle off the dribble against Holiday. Jrue has improved his defense immensely over his last three seasons. He’s starting to approach shut-down status. Lonnie Walker could (and should) have trouble with the 6’3 229 lbs Bucks point guard. If Walker cannot properly control the offense, Derrick White or DeMar DeRozan will be called upon to do so. White and Rosen are both viable in daily fantasy tonight. The Bucks are favored by - 11 points with a 229.5 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com.

Other SG Option: Terry Rozier - Charlotte Hornets (vs. Los Angeles Clippers)

Small Forward

Khris Middleton - Milwaukee Bucks (vs. San Antonio Spurs)

The Milwaukee Bucks are facing a San Antonio team that will be without their starting point guard in Dejounte Murray as well as their backup point guard in Patty Mills. Lonnie Walker will be a popular investment tonight but personally, I am labeling him as “bad chalk”. What is chalk? Chalk is simply a popular play, someone who many people will be rostering. Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton are the two names that I am interested in from this game. Jrue should have a nice matchup against the 22-year-old Walker and Middleton has the advantage of DeRozen (offensively at least). This game has an O/U of 239.5 favoring the Bucks by -11 points or a - 680 ML.

Other SF Options: Danny Green - Philadelphia 76ers (vs. Sacramento Kings)

Power Forward

Tobias Harris - Philadelphia 76ers (vs. Sacramento Kings)

The Sacramento Kings are on the back end of a back-to-back. The Philadelphia 76ers will be without Seth Curry and Joel Embiid. The Sixers are still favored by - 6 points with a 230.5 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com. Buddy Hield and De’Aaron Fox have been playing spectacular defense as of late. The Sacramento Kings are allowing opponents to 26 assists per game. The Kings are allowing 119.4 PPG. These stats indicate that points are being scored against Sacramento just not by the point guard or shooting guard positions. Even with Simmons’ size and strength, I do think players to benefit from these matchups include Furkan Korkmaz, Danny Green, and Tobias Harris. Harris probably has the best optics of the night. The Sacramento Kings are allowing their opponents to shoot 39.2% from beyond the arc which is the highest in the league. Rostering a player like Tobias Harris is an extremely smart move today against the Sacramento Kings.

Other PF Option: Marcus Morris - Los Angeles Clippers (vs. Charlotte Hornets)

Center

Nemanja Bjelica - Sacramento Kings (vs. Philadelphia 76ers)

I fully expect Tobias Harris to perform very well tonight. Sacramento’s starting big men just don’t have the ability or body type capable of shutting him down. Barnes and Holmes are just too large. I expect Bjelica to come off the bench sooner rather than later. He is going to be an integral part of this game as he must maintain Simmons and/or Harris. Bjelica is 6 foot 10 inches tall weighing 235 pounds, perfect for maintaining the aforementioned Harris and Simmons. Bjelica should be leaned upon heavily tonight in order to keep up with the 76ers size and speed. The 76ers are favored by - 6 points with a 230.5 O/U Courtesy of Pointsbet.com. Bjelica for GPP tournaments, lock him in!

Other C Option: Jonas Valanciunas - Memphis Grizzlies (vs. Golden State Warriors)
