    Apple's holiday iPhone sales surge despite supply shortages

    Apple shook off supply shortages that have curtailed production of iPhones and other popular devices to deliver its most profitable holiday season yet. The results posted Thursday for the final three months of 2021 help illustrate why Apple is looking even stronger at the tail end of the pandemic than when the crisis began two years ago. At that point, Apple’s iPhone sales had been flagging as consumers began holding on to their older devices for longer periods.

    Jan. 27—After opening the 2021-22 season with commanding victories against quality NCAA Division II and III opponents, the Georgia Gwinnett College women's tennis team is the top ranked team in the 2022 NAIA Preseason Poll, announced by the national office.     Portland's Lindsey Horan sent to French club Lyon on loan

    Portland Thorns midfielder Lindsey Horan has been loaned to French club Lyon through the summer of 2023. In addition to the loan, Portland announced Thursday that Horan has signed a contract extension with the Thorns through the 2025 season. Horan, who was also on the U.S. team that won the 2019 World Cup, previously played in France with Paris Saint-Germain from 2012 to 2016.
