The most underrated and overlooked sitcom on television, Ghosts, is back for a second season (premiering Thursday, September 29 at 8:30 p.m. ET on Global in Canada), starring Rose McIver from iZombie and Utkarsh Ambudkar from Never Have I Ever.
A former eBay Inc. executive was sentenced on Thursday to almost five years in prison for leading a scheme to terrorize the creators of an online newsletter that included sending live spiders, cockroaches, a funeral wreath and other disturbing deliveries to their home. David Steiner, who along with his wife was the target of the harassment campaign, told the court that eBay former Senior Director of Safety and Security James Baugh and other eBay employees made their lives “a living hell." “This was a bizarre, premediated assault on our lives ... with buy-in at the highest levels of eBay,” Steiner told the judge.
The No. 2 Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives declined to say if he would hold a vote on a bill restricting members of Congress and other government officials from trading in stocks, saying lawmakers needed more time to think about it. The bill had been listed by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer's office late last week as possibly coming up for a vote this week, just before the House of Representatives begins a six-week recess to allow members to campaign for re-election on Nov. 8. With the legislation being unveiled just this week, Hoyer told reporters that rank-and-file members still had to review the details of the bill.
