So here's something you don't see every day ... a par-3 with a distance of 1.5 miles.
The scene: Texas Motor Speedway. The players: four-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson (above, on the tee) and PGA pro J.J. Henry. As part of a promotion for November's Texas race, Johnson and Henry played a little golf version of H-O-R-S-E on the track, including a closest-to-the-pin contest, a putting competition up the sides of the 24-degree-banked turns, and the long-drive competition pictured above. If you were concerned, Henry won the long-drive competition with a blast of 410 yards -- not a typo -- but Johnson's team won the overall competition.
Bottom line -- and this is not a request for videos, by the way -- hitting balls off buildings = always cool.
