GOAT to GOAT: Patrick Mahomes praises Caitlin Clark at Super Bowl

Few athletes are on the same level that Caitlin Clark is right now. One of the few who is on the level is Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He is the face of the NFL right now and just praised the face of college basketball.

During Super Bowl week, Mahomes talked about what Clark is doing, her march towards the all-time scoring record, her love for Iowa, and the two of them playing some one-on-one in the future.

“I think she’s close to breaking it maybe on Super Bowl Sunday, so I don’t know if I’ll get to see it, but, I mean, just a tremendous player, a tremendous person from every time I’ve met with her and talked.

“You can tell she loves the game. She loves playing at Iowa. And is going to be one of the best women’s basketball, one of the best college basketball players to ever play and then go to the WNBA and dominate there as well. Hopefully I never have to play her one-on-one, because she’ll for sure be getting buckets on me,” Mahomes said.

Mahomes is a known supporter of Caitlin Clark and her accomplishments. Earlier this year, Clark was on the sideline for a Chiefs game as she is a fan of Mahomes and his squad.

This Sunday sees two of the greatest in their respective sports suit up. Caitlin Clark and Iowa take on Nebraska at noon CT, which then leads into Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs taking on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII at 5:30 p.m. CT.
