Gladys Knight will be singing the national anthem at this year’s Super Bowl LIII. The Grammy-winning Knight will be performing the song in her Atlanta hometown, where the game will be held on Feb. 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The 74-year-old Knight said she will attempt to “unite and represent our country” when performing the song. A member of the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame, Knight is best known for her many hits in the 1970s, particularly her Grammy-winning 1973 smash with the Pips, Midnight Train to Georgia.
The Super Bowl announced earlier that Maroon 5, Travis Scott and Big Boi would perform the halftime show at the Super Bowl.
