Don’t look now, but the New York Giants have hope. And they are scoreboard watching tonight to see if they have a date with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

The Giants survived and escaped by the skin of their teeth with a huge 23-19 win at MetLife Stadium over the Dallas Cowboys, ending their three-game losing streak and finish 6-10.

No matter what happens, the Giants have eliminated the Cowboys from playoff contention and end the year on a high note.

Sterling Shepard had, by far one, of the best performances of his career and played a huge role in the Giants winning this game.

In the first quarter, Shepard had a 23-yard rushing touchdown that put the New York up 6-0.

In the second quarter, Shepard caught a 10-yard pass from Daniel Jones that made it 13-3.

Shepard finishes the game with eight catches for 112 yards and a touchdown, plus two rushes for 24 yards and a touchdown.

Shepard finishes the season with 64 catches for 656 yards and three touchdowns. They aren’t numbers that exactly jump out at you, but he’s has been a reliable target all year long.

In the season finale, few fought harder than Shepard, who left it all on the field.
