First-round pick Deonte Banks has signed his rookie deal with the Giants.

The team announced Banks is the sixth member of Big Blue’s 2023 draft class to put the pen to paper. Second-round pick, center John Michael Schmitz, is the only selection who remains unsigned.

The Giants traded up to the 24th pick with the Jacksonville Jaguars to acquire the corner. Banks should be an immediate upgrade for the Giants secondary and is a perfect fit in Wink Martindale’s defense.

The Maryland product has the tools and upside to become a top corner in this league. Last season with the Terps, he had 38 total tackles, eight pass break-ups, and one interception in 12 games.
