Quarterbacks Clayton Thorson and Joe Webb will both be on the Giants’ active roster when they take on the Browns on Sunday night. Thorson was elevated from the practice squad while Webb was signed to the active roster.

Just as he did against Seattle in Week 13, Thorson will serve as Colt McCoy’s backup on Sunday. Webb is expected to play in multiple roles, including special teams, and will be the team’s emergency third-string quarterback.

In addition, safety Adrian Colbert was activated from injured reserve while cornerbacks Jarren Williams and Quincy Wilson were elevated from the practice squad. Safety Montre Hartage has been waived.

Colbert has appeared in three games this season and made 10 tackles, but has been on injured reserve since Nov. 3.

Williams made his NFL debut against Arizona in Week 14 and played 10 special teams snaps with one tackle.

Wilson started the season with the Jets, but was released in November prior to the Giants signing him. He had one tackle in three games with the Jets in 2020.
