Giants’ Leonard Williams wins 2021 George Young-Ernie Accorsi Good Guy Award

New York Giants defensive lineman Leonard Williams has been named the recipient of the 21st annual George Young-Ernie Accorsi Good Guy Award for the 2021 season.

The announcement was made by Giants chapter president Tom Rock on Wednesday.

Williams was named over defensive back Julian Love and wide receiver Kenny Golladay.

Safety Logan Ryan won the award in 2020. Prior to him, recent winners include tight end Evan Engram (2019), wide receiver Sterling Shepard (2018) and safety Landon Collins (2017).

The only two-time George Young-Ernie Accorsi Good Guy Award winner is retired Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, who won the award in 2016 and 2011.

The George Young-Ernie Accorsi Good Guy award is given to the player who consistently cooperates with the media every day throughout the course of a season. Williams is widely considered one of the easiest players to work with from a media perspective, offering candid and honest responses each week.

In 16 games this season, Williams has recorded a career-high 77 tackles to go along with two forced fumbles, 13 QB hits and 5.5 sacks.
