Giants free agent Julian Love visiting Seahawks
The safety market has been slow to develop since the NFL’s legal tampering period opened on Monday but things are finally beginning to move a bit.
The Dallas Cowboys (Donovan Wilson), Pittsburgh Steelers (Damontae Kazee), and Buffalo Bills (Jordan Poyer) have all re-signed their in-house safeties over the past 24 hours and now New York Giants free agent Julian Love is beginning to generate some interest.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Love will visit the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday.

Negotiations between Love and the Giants ramped up a bit earlier this week but the two sides appear no closer on a deal than when the season ended.
“Things have ramped up,” Love said during an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio last Friday. “They’ve constantly expressed interest. Since the end of the season, they’ve reiterated the interest to bring me back. I reiterated that I want to be back, hopefully, [if] we can meet on the price.”
Love said he wants to finish what was started in East Rutherford, but acknowledged money is a big part of the equation. Ultimately, he wants to do what’s best for his family.
“There’s a sense of wanting to finish the job with the team that drafted you, but at the same time, you just can’t settle. [A] football career is so short that you have to get what you feel is fair while you’re in it,” Love added.
“I’m human. Money is a huge part of the equation, but it’s not the end-all, be-all. It’s a huge point, but the feel has to be right. If you don’t believe in the organization and their ability to grow going forward, that says it all. There’s that balance.”
If the Giants lose Love to the Seahawks (or another team), safety will become another area of need this offseason.
