Giants DT Dexter Lawrence named second-team All-Pro for 2023 season

Giants defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has been named a second-team All-Pro selection by the Associated Press for a second consecutive year, making him the only player on Big Blue selected this season.

Lawrence, who missed just one game this season, totaled 53 combined tackles (32 solo, seven TFL), two passes defended and had 4.5 sacks to go along with 21 quarterback hits in 16 games (16 starts).

The 26-year-old’s All-Pro selection coincides with his Pro Bowl selection he received earlier this month – the second of his career. He is also New York’s only representative for the Pro Bowl.

Even though Lawrence, who received 14 first-place votes and 16 second-place votes, is the only Giant this season selected to an All-Pro team, four other players received votes as well.

Linebacker Bobby Okereke received one first-place vote and 13 second-place votes, safety Xavier McKinney received six second-place votes, punter Jamie Gillan received one second-place vote and punt returner Gunner Olszewski received one first-place vote.
