Giants continue to spiral with 21-6 loss to Cowboys

Staying with the trend of the last few weeks, the New York Giants were unable to get much going on the offensive side of the ball in a Week 15 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Although the Giants’ defense played solidly enough against the high-powered Dallas offense, the Cowboys capitalized on the Giant’s turnovers with 15 points off the the four. That was essentially the difference in the game.

With the 21-6 loss, the Giants fall to 4-10 on the season.

The Giants went for it on fourth down on their own 29 with 4:30 left in the third quarter. Mike Glennon rushed up the middle for no gain turning the ball over to the Cowboys offense.

The Cowboys would capitalize with a touchdown on the ensuing drive with a touchdown by Dalton Schultz. The score put the Cowboys up by 15 closing in on the fourth quarter.

With the troubles the Giants have been over the last several weeks, it essentially ended the game.

Injuries

Rookie running back Gary Brightwell left in the second quarter with a neck injury. He did not return as he was later ruled out.

Sterling Shepard went down and was carted off with what appeared to be an Achilles injury on the Giants’ final drive. He did not return but in fairness the Giants ran just one offensive play following his injury before the game ended.
