Rangers coach Gerard Gallant, assistant Mike Kelly and right wings Julien Gauthier and Ryan Reaves cleared COVID protocol, New York announced Saturday morning.

Assistant Gord Murphy, meanwhile, entered COVID protocol. Kris Knoblauch -- who served as the Rangers' temporary coach -- reassumed head-coaching duties with the Hartford Wolf Pack, New York's AHL affiliate.

The Rangers recalled goaltender Tyler Wall to their taxi squad and they assigned goaltender Keith Kinkaid to Hartford. New York also assigned right wing Anthony Greco to the taxi squad.

The Rangers are 24-10-4 and first in the Metropolitan Division.

Since returning from the NHL's season pause Dec. 29, the Rangers are 5-3, including Thursday's 3-0 win at the San Jose Sharks.

The Rangers return to action with Saturday's 7:00 p.m. game at the Philadelphia Flyers (13-16-7).
