The top five of the Associated Press poll did not change after a weekend of near upsets.

Alabama remained No. 1 with Clemson, Oklahoma, Penn State and USC rounding out two through five in the rankings. However, Oklahoma State, last week’s No. 6, fell to No. 15 after a home loss to TCU. As a result, the Horned Frogs made the jump from No. 16 all the way to No. 9, the biggest jump of the week.

Georgia, after its blowout win over Mississippi State, moved up four spots from No. 11 to No. 7 while MSU dropped from No. 17 to No. 24. Florida State, now 0-2 after a loss to NC State, fell from No. 12 out of the Top 25.

Notre Dame and West Virginia entered the Top 25 at Nos. 22 and 23, respectively.
