Georgia football offers top recruit in Mississippi

Jimothy Lewis is the second-ranked recruit in Mississippi. Lewis, a member of the class of 2024, has now received a scholarship offer from the Georgia Bulldogs.

Lewis is a four-star prospect. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive tackle is the top-ranked player at his position in the class of 2024, making Lewis a critical in-state target for Ole Miss.

Can Georgia sneak into Mississippi and secure a commitment from the top recruit in the state? The Bulldogs landed a key linebacker recruit, Nakobe Dean, from the state several years ago.

Lewis plays high school football for Madison-Ridgeland Academy in Madison, Mississippi. Florida State, Tennessee, Baylor and Auburn are among those that have offered the talented offensive tackle.

Jimothy Lewis has already won a pair of state championships in his career. The Madison-Ridgeland star has taken recent visits to Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Georgia.

Lewis has taken multiple visits to both Ole Miss and Mississippi State. The in-state rivals were the first two schools to offer scholarships to Lewis.
