Tennessee’s run in the Southeastern Conference Tournament came to an end Saturday losing, 4-3, to No. 5 Georgia (17-5) at Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex in Gainesville, Florida.

UT (15-9) claimed the doubles point by winning two of the three matches.

The Lady Vols tandem of Tenika McGriffin and Elza Tomase defeated Mell Reasco and Meg Kowalski, 7-6 (5).

Tennessee’s duo of Eleonora Molinaro and Daria Kuczer downed Dasha Vidmanova and Mai Nirundorn, 6-2.

Tomase and Molinaro posted singles victories for UT against the Bulldogs.

Tomase defeated Morgan Coppoc, 6-3, 6-4. Molinaro outlasted Nirundorn, 7-5, 6-4.

The Lady Vols will next play in the NCAA Tournament the weekend of May 6.

Tennessee will learn its regional destination May 2.
