The 49ers commemorated Javon Kinlaw's selection at No. 14 in the 2020 NFL Draft with a Friday morning tweet that referenced the viral clip of NBC Montana reporter Deion Broxton refusing to "mess" with an incoming herd of bison.

It was a timely-ish reference and, at the very least, less cringe-worthy than NFL commissioner Roger Goodell doing the "Toosie Slide" dance with new Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy on TikTok.
What was cringe-worthy -- at least in 49ers tight end George Kittle and defensive tackle D.J. Jones' eyes -- was the New York Giants' Twitter account using Broxton's reaction to highlight second-round pick Xavier McKinney's defensive dominance.
Cmon man ...— George Kittle (@gkittle46) April 25, 2020
The Giants' clip followed the same basic premise -- "Our hard-hitting rookie is really good at football!" -- and the cadences and cuts are eerily similar.
I'll leave the full-throated outcry for social-media integrity to the people already in the G-Men's mentions, but it's ... not a great look for Big Blue to post it less than a full workday after the 49ers' tweet.
Given this is Twitter we're talking about, the Giants won't have to worry about their mentions for long. By the time the 49ers and Giants actually play at MetLife Stadium next season, Broxton's reaction probably will be a distant meme-ory, like Drew Scanlon's disbelieving blink or any number of seemingly ancient reaction GIFs that used to litter Twitter timelines.
