George and Amal Clooney Brought a Special Guest to the Suburbicon Premiere

No, it wasn’t the twins.

George and Amal Clooney are back in the swing of things after becoming parents to twins, Ella and Alexander, back in June. Both Clooneys have gone back to work and made a handful of public appearances at parties and premieres over the past few months, but nothing seemed as official as Sunday night’s Los Angeles premiere of Clooney’s latest film Suburicon. The couple was joined by an extra special guest on the red carpet, Amal’s mother and George’s mother-in-law, Baria Alamuddin. Clooney wore a black suit, while Amal stunned in a strapless Judith Leiber gown. Alamuddin looked lavish in a dark-green dress with feather trim.

According to Clooney, the four-month-old twins are already showing big personalities. “Ella is very elegant and dainty, she has these big beautiful eyes, she looks like Amal,” he told Extra. “[Alexander’s] just a thug, he’s a fat little boy. He laughs louder than everyone in the room. It’s the funniest thing.”

While George and Amal have been enjoying parenthood, even taking the summer off to spend time with their newborns and Alamuddin at their home in Lake Como, Italy, Clooney said they’re “done” having kids.

“When Amal and I met and when we got married it became really clear we were lucky,” he said. “It seemed selfish not to share some of that luck with some other people.”
