Football brings people together. And the perfect example is tennis player Genie Bouchard and one of her Twitter followers, John Goehrke. Before last year’s Super Bowl, Bouchard agreed to a date with Goehrke if the New England Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons. It was a nail-biter, but the Patriots pulled it out and Goehrke and Bouchard went on a date to a Brooklyn Nets game a few weeks later. (Which was adorable.)
With the Patriots in the Super Bowl again this year, NFL Canada must have felt inspired to bring the two lovebirds together once again.

And of course, they both responded.

How sweet! The two of them can celebrate the anniversary of the event that brought them together, and they can do it while they’re actually watching the Patriots play in the Super Bowl in person. Everything comes full circle.
Their upcoming Super Bowl date won’t be the first time they’ve been seen together since their outing to the Nets game. Goehrke went to visit Bouchard in December, and the two posted pictures on Twitter to prove it.

With Bouchard losing in the second round of the Australian Open last week, this Super Bowl date is the perfect thing to take her mind off of that.
