If you were a teenager in the ’90s or ’00s, then you’ll instantly recognize the latest trend that Gen Z is going crazy for — flared leggings — or, as we called them back then, yoga pants.
Flared leggings are exactly what they sound like — they’re typical leggings that go out at the bottom instead of hugging your legs down to your ankle. Perfect for lounging around, low-impact workouts and more, it’s no surprise that this trend is back. And with straight jeans coming back into style, it was only a matter of time until this particular cut made its way into activewear wardrobes.
These leggings are also trending on TikTok. From try-on hauls to styling videos, users can’t seem to get over how cute and versatile the style is. TikTok user @wydstephbohrer shared in her video, “These leggings are the best thing that TikTok ever convinced me to buy.” User @tayhage showed how she wore flare leggings six different ways and called herself a “huge fan of this trend.”
