GC Boys Basketball: Tigers score 101 points in season opener

Nov. 17—It's always fun to score 100 points.

And even more fun to do it in the season opener.

That's what Corsicana's Tigers did Tuesday on the road in Dallas, where they hammered Dallas Adamson 101-44 on opening night.

The Tigers saw nine players score, including five who put up double figures in the romp. The Tigers led 31-8 after the first quarter and 57-15 at halftime before putting up 44 second-half points.

Javon Betts led the way, hitting 8-of-13 shots and finishing with 21 points, six rebounds and four assists. Corbet Roman made 6-of-7 shots, including going 3-for-3 on 3-pointers, to finish with 15 points, two steals and two rebounds. Joyrest Sony was perfect from the floor, including a 3-pointer, to score 12 points.

Jacob Glascow (11 points) and Kobe Smith (10 points) combined to go 10-for-12 and Smith had three rebounds and two steals. Michael Ree and Conner Babb both scored seven points, Devon Mario scored six points to go along with two rebounds and David Lee scored five points.
