GC Boys Basketball: Tigers rip Terrell 82-26

Feb. 9—Corsicana's Tigers ripped Terrell 82-26 Tuesday in front of a home town crowd that has supported Sunny Hardy's team all season.

Hardy's team has shown a huge improvement this year and with two games left in the season they're just one game out of fourth-place and a trip to the playoffs.

They looked like a playoff team Tuesday as they ran all over Terrell from the opening moments. The Tigers led 16-2 after the first quarter and 40-12 at halftime in the romp, holding Terrell to just 12 points in the first half and 14 in the second half.

Michael Horn-Reese led the way with 22 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Javon Betts followed with 14 points, five rebounds, four assists, and a steal. Kobe Smith just missed a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing eight rebounds to go along with two steals.

Corbet Romain scored six points and had two steals and two assists, David Lee had five points, two rebounds, two steals and an assist, and Chris Martinez had five points, two steals and a rebound.

LJ Williams had four points, five rebounds and three steals. A'Kevia Weaver had four points, two rebounds and three steals and Joyrest Sony scored four points and grabbed three rebounds.
