GC Boys Basketball: Tigers come up short in loss to Crandall

Jan. 19—Corsicana's Tigers split their last two district games during the deep freeze, beating Terrell 80-23 Friday and falling short Wednesday night at home against Crandall, which pulled away late to win 69-53.

Javon Betts scored 49 points in the two games with a 28-point night in Terrell before scoring 21 points, pulling down three rebounds, making a steal and handing out an assist Wednesday after the Crandall game was moved because of the weather conditions.

Michael Horn-Reese had a monster game against Crandall, producing an impressive double-double, scoring 12 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.

LJ Williams scored six points and grabbed two rebounds to go along with two assists and a block, and Christopher Martinez, a sophomore (six points), Corbet Roman (three points), Devon Mario (two points) and Joyrest Sony (two points) all scored for the Tigers.
