Gators News: Men’s golf continues at SEC Match Play Championship
After a wild weekend of Gators sports things have slowed down a bit heading into the middle of the week. The lone program in action on Monday and Tuesday is the men’s golf team, which is currently competing in the SEC Match Play Championship in Birmingham, Alabama. Here is a look at how things are going for the squad.

The men’s golf team split its Monday matches at the SEC Match Play Championship, losing to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the first half while taking the second match against the Texas A&M Aggies to improve to 1-2 so far in the tournament. The final day of competition begins today at 8:30 a.m. EDT against the Tennessee Volunteers.
Around the Swamp
SEC Power Rankings: Georgia on top, Alabama falls: The Southeastern Conference has a new No. 1 in Georgia after Alabama fell to Texas A&M.
SP+ rankings amazingly still in love with the Gators after Week 6: Despite sitting at 4-2, the SP+ rankings have liked UF all season.
Does CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm have the Gators as a NY6 team yet?: This would be a disappointing outcome for a team that had College Football Playoff aspirations just two weeks ago.
Gators cornerback Elijah Blades no longer with the team: He didn’t dress for Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt, and now it seems his time with the Gators has come to an end.
It's great to be a Florida Gator!
