The softball team wrapped up its third and final intrasquad exhibition on Tuesday with the Orange team prevailing to take the series, 2-1. The squad returns to the field on Feb. 22, 2022, against the Illinois State Red Birds in Gainesville for it’s 2022 campaign.

The No. 20 volleyball team is back in action tonight against the Auburn Tigers in the O’Connell Center. The midweek matchup begins at 7 p.m. EST and can be watched on the SEC Network+ or heard on ESPN 98.1 FM/850 AM.

The volleyball team also got some great news when it was announced that redshirt senior T’ara Ceasar was named this week’s Sports Imports/AVCA Division I Player of the Week on Tuesday. It is the first time in her career that she has received the honor, which follows two-straight SEC Player of the Week awards.

The women’s basketball team also had an award winner yesterday when graduate student Kiara Smith was named to the Preseason WNIT All-Tournament Team. The talented guard led the Gators over the weekend in points per game (12.3), assists per game (1.75) and steals per game (1.75) over the course of three games.
