Cal takes on USC Saturday afternoon in a nationally televised showdown between undefeated squads. The Bears come off a big 27-16 win against Ole Miss, while USC forced a clutch fumble to stop Texas in double overtime. Saturday marks the annual Joe Roth Memorial game, played between the two schools. In honor of Roth, the famed Cal quarterback who played the 1976 season while suffering from a malignant melanoma, the Bears will be wearing throwback uniforms similar to the ones Joe Roth and the Bears wore during the 1975 season.

It's been fourteen long years since the Bears took down the Trojans in a triple overtime thriller, as Tyler Fredrickson knocked in a 38 yard field goal in the third OT to win it against the 3rd ranked Trojans. The Bears will try to knock off a 5th ranked USC this time.
