Gameday Central | Michigan State at No. 10 Illinois; 8 p.m., FS1

Jan. 11—Home court has mostly been an advantage in the Big Ten this season. Unless Wisconsin is in town. Half of the Badgers' conference wins have come on the road at Michigan State and at Ohio State.

Otherwise? The home team has mostly had the upper hand. The last time Illinois played a Big Ten game at State Farm Center it thumped Northwestern by 30. The not-quite-the-same Wildcats (at least in terms of execution) that beat Michigan State by 14 on Sunday.

That loss left Spartans coach Tom Izzo in a bad mood, looking for more effort and toughness from his team. The same qualities Illinois coach Brad Underwood values.

Tonight's game might just be one of those old fashioned Pizza Hut parking lot brawls. No telling which team that favors more. Unless home court remains an advantage.
