Full injury report for Tyrese Maxey, Sixers vs. Grizzlies in return home

The Philadelphia 76ers will return home on Wednesday to play host to the Memphis Grizzlies and they will once again be very short-handed heading into this matchup after a quick two-game road trip.

While Joel Embiid (left knee meniscus procedure), De’Anthony Melton (lumbar spine bone stress), and Robert Covington (left knee born bruise) remain sidelined, two other key pieces will be out as well.

Tyrese Maxey, who missed Tuesday’s loss to the Brooklyn Nets due to a mild concussion, will also miss the matchup with the Grizzlies. Coach Nick Nurse revealed that Maxey will have to pass the NBA’s concussion protocols before he can return to the floor.

Kyle Lowry will also miss the matchup with the Grizzlies due to rest. He did end up playing 36 minutes on Tuesday in Brooklyn so it makes sense to rest him in this matchup.

With Lowry and Maxey out for this one, the Sixers will likely lean more on Cam Payne who has been battling the flu. Payne did play well in Brooklyn despite dealing with the illness and the Sixers will likely give two-way players Terquavion Smith and Jeff Dowtin Jr. a look in this one.

Tip off from the Wells Fargo Center is set for 7:30 p.m. EST.
