Full injury report for Joel Embiid, Sixers for road matchup vs. Warriors

The Philadelphia 76ers will continue their road trip on Friday when they take on the Golden State Warriors out in The Bay for the second of this four-game trip. They are dealing with some recent injury issues to some key players entering this contest that are worth monitoring for this team’s playoff chances.

Joel Embiid left Wednesday’s 116-91 win over the Chicago Bulls due to mild right calf tightness at halftime. The Sixers didn’t need him much due to the fact that they were up big on the Bulls, but it still caused some concern due to how important the big fella is to any success the Sixers want to have.

Along with Embiid, the Sixers were missing James Harden for the matchup due to left Achilles soreness and Jalen McDaniels due to a right hip issue that’s been bothering him. For the matchup with the Warriors, Embiid is, Harden, and McDaniels are all listed as questionable. Coach Doc Rivers mentioned that he expects Harden to return for this matchup with Golden State.

The Sixers have shown all season that they are a resilient bunch being able to overcome a lot of adversity. They have won plenty of games while being short-handed and this is something that will have to continue going forward.

Tipoff from the Chase Center on Friday is set for 10 p.m. EDT.
