Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin remains in critical condition at a Cincinnati hospital as of Tuesday.
After collapsing to the ground, it was announced that Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest during the Bills-Cincinnati Bengals game on Monday. Both the NFL and Bills confirmed his critical status after the contest was called off.
But prior to those updates, a friend of Hamlin’s, Jordon Rooney, who is also his marketing rep, gave us the first word. Via his social media account on Twitter, Rooney posted this message on Monday evening:
Update on Damar:
His vitals are back to normal and they have put him to sleep to put a breathing tube down his throat. They are currently running tests.
We will provide updates as we have them.
A day later, the game has been postponed beyond this week.
In addition, Rooney offered to provide further context to his first update. He joined the Pat McAfee Show and spoke on the what he provided.
