DeMarco Murray practiced in a limited capacity on Friday. Jim Wyatt quoted Titans coach Mike Mularkey as saying:

“He looked better today, he took more snaps. He was limited but took more snaps. It’s the kind of injury where we’ll watch and see how he is when he wakes up (Sunday) morning. … We’ll talk it through. We’ve been pretty smart to this point, we’re not going to subject anybody to further injury.”

Mularkey stated that he will not state who will be the Titans starter at running back until Sunday.

It is widely presumed that Derrick Henry will start and Murray will sit or play a backup role.

The Titans coach is aware of the usual process where fans root for a backup to unseat a starter. Wyatt also quoted him as saying, “I don’t think it matters, they are both very good backs, I don’t think it matters who starts and who doesn’t. They are both very good backs who can be productive in this league.”

Corey Davis and Johnathan Cyprien were announced as out for this week’s game earlier in the week.

The Titans and fans of the Titans held a photoshop contest of sorts this week. Cornerback Adoree Jackson hurdled a Raiders defender during the week two game and fans loved it. An exhibition where fans placed Jackson hurdling over different objects ensued.

The Titans are running a canned food drive at Sunday’s game. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate.

The Titans game is later than usual this week. They will play at 4:05pm EST rather than the usual 1 p.m. The game will also be on Fox Sports.
