Four prep state championship football games set for CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl Friday and Saturday

Four Colorado High School Activities Association state football championships will be played this weekend at the Colorado State University Pueblo ThunderBowl.

Two games will be played on Friday and two more on Saturday.

Tickets for the games will be $15 for all attendees and parking will be $10. Tickets are available at www.gothunderwolves.com, or at the Massari Arena Box Office (open 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. through Friday.)

On Friday, the Class A-6-man state title game will go off at 1 p.m. when No. 1 Cheyenne Wells (12-0) takes on No. 2 Stratton (11-1).

At 6 p.m., No. 1 Haxtun (12-0) meets No. 2 Mancos (10-0) for the Class A-8-man championship.

On Saturday in the Class 1A title game, No. 1 Limon (12-0) collides with No. 2 Centauri (11-0) at 1 p.m.

The weekend wraps up with the Class 2A championship game between No. 1 Eaton (12-0) and No. 7 Brush (10-2) at 6 p.m.

There will be press conferences for each game and all four teams starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Pack Room at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl.

The Class 3A, Class 4A and Class 5A semifinals will be played Friday and Saturday with the championships set for Dec. 4.

The Class 3A title game will be played at the ThunderBowl at 1 p.m. Dec. 4, while the Class 4A championship and Class 5A championships will be played at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on Dec. 4. The 4A game will kick off at 11 a.m. with the 5A game starting at 2 p.m.
