While many of our subscribers are active members of Warchant's vibrant message board community, we know that some don't have the time to see every discussion that is taking place on the various boards.
In our new "From the Forums" feature, we will highlight some of the more interesting discussions taking place each week and provide links for others to get involved.
Here are some of the top conversations from the past seven days:

COULD JACQUES PATRICK'S POWER BE THE DIFFERENCE?
Ever since Dalvin Cook announced he was leaving early for the NFL, a hot topic for FSU fans has been which tailback will take over as the Seminoles' featured back in 2017 -- junior Jacques Patrick or freshman Cam Akers. Some have pointed to Patrick's experience as the reason he will have the edge, while others focus on Akers' ability to bust loose for big plays.
Subscriber SWFNole9 took things even further, suggesting that Patrick will not only win the starting job but be the "difference maker" in FSU's season opener against. Here's a highlight from his post: "Tackling someone his size, the first game out of the year, is difficult when you haven't really been getting live game reps in. I think he is going to soften up the defense and give us an opportunity to get the short and intermediate passing game going early on."
While some posters disagreed, saying that FSU will need to go with a shiftier back against Alabama's sizable defensive front, others believe Patrick could be the answer:

FAVORITE UNDERRATED PLAYS IN FSU HISTORY
While the summer months can be slow when it comes to on-the-field news, that "down time" sometimes leads to some of the best discussions on our Tribal Council message board.
This past Saturday, a member who goes by the name 12Nole came up with an interesting question that has since drawn dozens of comments and rekindled countless memories: "What is your favorite underrated play(s) in Florida State history?"
12Nole then got things going by posting one of his favorites -- Sean Maguire's fourth-down touchdown pass to tight end Jeremy Kerr during the Seminoles' 27-2 victory over rival Florida. It was Kerr's first career college reception, and it went for a score.
Here's another memory from a poster who goes by Seminole72:

WHAT IS YOUR STARTING FIVE FOR THE OFFENSIVE LINE?
FSU returns several offensive linemen with starting experience, but it's uncertain if any of them have their starting jobs locked up heading into preseason practice. There should be tense competition at just about every spot.
With that in mind, poster Noles229 started a thread asking others who they would like to see on the starting line when the Seminoles take on Alabama. He started the conversation by revealing his starting five: Brock Ruble at left tackle, Baveon Johnson or Andrew Boselli at left guard, Alec Eberle at center, Landon Dickerson at right guard, and Rick Leonard at right tackle.
As expected, there were a wide variety of responses, including much debate about whether Eberle should remain the starting center. Some criticized the veteran for being too inconsistent or undersized, while others came to his defense.

ARE THE 'NOLES RUNNING FOURTH FOR QB JUSTIN FIELDS?
On the Premium Recruiting Board, Florida State fans have been up in arms for weeks about possibly the best arm in the class of 2018: Justin Fields.
The five-star quarterback decommitted from Penn State earlier this year, and FSU is in the mix with Florida, Georgia, Auburn and others. But where exactly do the Seminoles stand?
Subscriber NJNole83 is skeptical after watching several of Fields' recent interviews; he thinks the Seminoles are fourth in the running. Others, however, are far more optimistic:

JAMES COOK DECOMMITMENT ELICITS SPIRITED DEBATE
And finally, no topic has generated as much discussion this week as the decommitment of five-star RB commitment James Cook. Although there have been concerns for quite some time about Cook's commitment, FSU fans took it hard when the younger brother of Dalvin Cook finally backed out on Tuesday.
Here is a look at some of the comments following that announcement:
