Former Wisconsin running back declares for the 2024 NFL Draft

Former Wisconsin running back Isaac Guerendo declared for the 2024 NFL Draft yesterday.

Guerendo played four years in Madison before transferring to Louisville ahead of the 2023 season. His Wisconsin career finished with 99 carries, 582 yards, six touchdowns, 20 receptions, 124 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. There were always flashes of the talent, though he was often buried on the depth chart behind Braelon Allen and others.

The speedster did find solid footing this past year under head coach Jeff Brohm at Louisville. He took 132 carries for 810 yards and 11 touchdowns, serving as a vital piece of an offense that played for an ACC Championship.

It was this past year’s performance that vaulted him into NFL Draft consideration.

The former three-star recruit in Wisconsin’s class of 2018 was sure to add a note about his time at Wisconsin in yesterday’s draft announcement.

“Thank you to the University of Wisconsin and coach Chryst for giving me an opportunity to play at such a great university.”
