Former Vols prepare for NBA postseason

The NBA’s 2020-21 regular season and State Farm Play-in Tournament have concluded.

The NBA playoffs are set to begin Saturday.

Three former Vols will have a chance to compete for the NBA championship.

In the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics and former Vol Grant Williams will begin its playoff run Saturday at 8 p.m. EDT (ABC) at Brooklyn.

The Nets are the No. 2 seed in the East and Boston earned a seventh seed with a, 118-100, victory over the Wizards.

Also in the East, Tobias Harris and the top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers will open their first-round series Sunday against No. 8 Washington at Wells Fargo Center.

Tipoff is slated for 1 p.m. EDT and the game will air on TNT.

In the Western Conference, the No. 5 Dallas Mavericks and former Vol Josh Richardson will open their postseason Saturday at 4:30 p.m. EDT.

Dallas will open its first-round series against the No. 4 Clippers at Staples Center in Los Angeles Saturday.

Tipoff is slated for 4:30 p.m. EDT and ESPN will broadcast the contest.
