The former Aggies guard finally notched an All-Defensive team accolade after years of developing into one of the NBA’s premier perimeter defenders. Caruso has averaged at least 1.0 steals per game for five straight seasons, with an average of 1.5 per game this past season with Chicago.

Caruso donned the Maroon and White from 2013-2016, averaging 8.0 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, and 4.7 assists per game in 137 games for the Aggies.

In addition to the NBA sharing the results over social media, Texas A&M’s men’s basketball team made sure to show some love to a familiar face as well:

Congrats Alex! It’s always a pleasure to watch you succeed at the NBA level, and this award is arguably long overdue. Gig’Em, and here’s to many more!
