As the Philadelphia 76ers did a major makeover to their roster following a disappointing 2019-20 season, they had to let a few young pieces go in order to make room for the new acquisitions.

One of those players they had to let go of was young big man Norvel Pelle who worked his way through the team’s G League system to earn a guaranteed contract during the season. He averaged 2.4 points 3.0 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 24 games as he showed off an ability to be an energy guy off a team’s bench.

While that chance will not be in Philadelphia, Pelle has now found the next stop on his NBA journey. He will sign a deal with the Indiana Pacers after they cleared some spots for him.

Pelle will now have a chance to learn from other big men such as All-Star Domantas Sabonis and the energetic Myles Turner. While Indiana is another team that is deep at the big man spot, Pelle will certainly be given a chance to break through with them.
